About Us

Cara and RJ met about 10 years ago in Portland, Maine. Together, they had three primary goals: to make a wonderful life possible for their daughter Luna, to build a glassblowing studio, and to go sailing!

As a BFA graduate of Glass & Ceramics at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Cara envisioned that someday, she would have her own glassblowing studio. RJ, with an extensive background in the marine industry, has an understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills, which are so valuable in the building and maintenance of a hotshop. They have worked consistently on fixing up an old sailboat, and renovating a tired barn into what is now Stone Coast Studio.

Thank You

We are so excited to be here--our dream is always a work in progress. We have come a long way, but still have a long way to go! We appreciate all of the love and support we have received from our community, and hope to open up our space for more classes, events, and community studio time.

Vision

For now, the studio focus is on hosting small classes and fulfilling orders both large and small. As we grow, we hope to create more artistic pieces to exhibit and offer a broader range of classes and workshops. There is also an apartment space in the barn that will hopefully be completed in the next few years.
